All Floyd Rose tremolos are not the same. The Original Floyd is the best. It is the King, but it is expensive and usually reserved for the highest price instruments. It is expensive enough that many USA instruments use a licensed Floyd instead of the Original. Our USA instruments use the Original and it is reflected in the cost. The are many licensed Floyds available and some are not good. The licensed Floyd we use IS. Not quite the King, perhaps his younger brother. Instead of the cheaper versions we use a better model that features a hardened steel plate so your knife edge lasts and the tremolo action stays smooth and faithfully returns to pitch. It's also mounted with studs and anchors, instead of just screws into wood, for improved stability.

Upper
Fret Access
The VX series by the nature of design has good upper fret access because
there is not a horn on the bass or treble side to obstruct the fretting
hand. The LG does have horns but the treble side is reduced to allow for
better access and the heel is recessed so there is less block in the way.
This allows decent access to the upper frets.
The neck of the LG is on the thinner side which tends to be associated with Floyd style guitars like the LG. It is an oil finished neck to reduce drag and "stickiness" from friction and heat from stage lights. The VX neck is a set-neck and is just a touch thicker, more of a medium-thin to medium size neck. Both necks can be set up for a nice comfortable low action.
When you're playing at the top of the neck, the heel won't block your hand as much as a tradional block heel, especially critical for those players that wrap their thumb around the neck! The recessed heel improves the upper fret access.
It's quick and easy to put on and take off when you put the guitar in its case. You can control the tension on the arm simply by tightening the knurled nut with your fingers. You can let the arm hang loose, keep it under a little tension or tighten it so it stays in whatever position you desire.
The truss rod we use adjusts the neck either way so you can easily maintain the lowest, easiest to play action, even in areas where there are drastic climate changes from summer to winter.

The LG has a hard (aka Rock) maple neck for tone, sustain, stability and durability. The oil finish gives you that fast, broken in, easy playing feel with the oil finish.
The VX has a body matching mahogany neck finished to match the body.
Binding can be a nice touch. The VX series includes models with the MB attachemnt which stands for multi-ply binding. An excellent look.
