The 4D is a simple, good sounding bass at a superb price. It is passive so no batteries are needed. Based on our USA EP series this is an imported bass that we designed to offer a good bass at a better price than our USA made basses. No, you do not get the ability to customize, but you do get a solid bass without the hefty price. Good players like the feel and sound of this bass.

Good feel and comfort of the neck is the heart of a good bass and the 4D has just that. The neck is a slim design in width (1.65" at the nut) and taper (depth). Made from a true high quality hard maple, the neck is very solid and allows for a nice, low action. The slim cut and design gives you excellent upper fret access with comfort all the way up the neck.

The feel and playability of the 4D is on a high enough level that is pleasing to even seasoned players. A good bass should have more than feel. It should balance correctly - not be neck or body heavy. The 4D holds its position when on a strap so you don't have to fight the neck. It should stay in tune - the 4D does, with quality Wilkinson tuners and a solid neck. It also has a very nice top load bridge. And it should sound good. The 4D's solid design lets you feel the notes and is transferred through a very good sounding set of P and J pickups so you can deliver a big bottom with high end snap.
